Cash boost for art workshops

A programme of arts workshops for adults with learning disabilities living in Calderdale has received a funding boost from the Yorkshire Venture Philanthropy Fund.

Purple Patch Arts, which runs weekly workshops from 10am to 3pm every Friday at Hebden Bridge Town hall, has received £3,810.

Director of Research and Development Gilly Bryerley said: “I’ve been living and working in Hebden Bridge for the last few years so seeing long-term investment into services for adults with learning disabilities is something that makes me incredibly proud. There’s great activity available to more people and it’s also helping our local economy.”

There are currently 10 places available for new participants. People interested in joining can try it out with two free taster sessions before fully signing up. For more details, call 07770 041801, email info@purplepatcharts.org or visit www.purplepatcharts.org.
