Bus link patched in for disrupted rail service

NORTHERN Rail is running a replacement bus service between Hebden Bridge and Blackburn to transpoort passengers uin the Calder Valley who would be using services which normally run along the Burnley line.

Services were suspended after 9.30am this morning following the collapse of a rail retaining wall at Victoria Street, Cornholme, at around 10.30pm last night.

Network Rail engineers are on site assessing the situation to see what needs to be done to stabilise the collapse and repair it.
