A romantic comedy of life on the dancefloor is among the films coming to Hebden Bridge Picture House this week.

Starring Nick Frost, Chris O’Dowd and Olivia Colman, ‘Cuban Fury’ tells the tale of 13-year-old Bruce, a natural born dancer who is working himself up for the junior salsa championships.

But a freakish bullying incident robs him of his confidence and his life is diverted down a very different path.

Twenty-two years later, he finds himself out of shape and unloved, trapped in a downward spiral of self-pity, repression and take-away meals.

Only Julia, his smart and funny new boss, gives him reason to live.

Luckily for him, she also has a secret passion, meaning Bruce is once again brought face to face with the most powerful of his inner demons.

It will be screened from Friday until Sunday at 7.45pm each day.

Animated movie ‘Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy’ will be screened on Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm.

Matt Damon, George Clooney and Cate Blanchett star in ‘The Monuments Men’, based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, on Monday and Tuesday at 7.45pm.
