There’s no need to be bored during the summer holidays as My Play Cafe in Central Street, Hebden Bridge, has the antidote.
In partnership with Story Magic Theatre, the cafe has organised a series of shows, the final one being a magic show next Wednesday (August 21) at 2pm (tickets £4 per child, includes half- hour performance, entrance to play gym, juice and a sweet treat).
Two story sessions will also be held. ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ will be read next Thursday (August 22) at 2pm, with ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ being read on Thursday, August 29 (2pm). Both sessions will include themed activities and entrance to the play gym (cost £3).
Owner Catherine Pearson said: “We know that the summer holidays can be a long time to think of different activities to keep the children amused. We hope parents will like the programme.
“We want those children who plant their own sunflower to let us know how their seed grows and we can add it to the Sunflower Height Chart, with the tallest entry by August 31 winning a gardening kit.”
