We would like to thank the people of Mytholmroyd for supporting the Piano Push and arts market event and putting up with some disruption.
Many tourists came and bought from our group of local artists and makers and like us feasted on cakes from the Marmaladies WI and Women’s Guild and tasty crepes from Hebden’s Lime Green Pankake Machine.
I gather the Bakehouse co-op bike even made it all the way to the top of Cragg Vale, with a little bit of their organic bread left to feed the cyclists washed down by beer from Little Valley Brewery.
Imove arts did a brilliant job co-ordinating & conducting the whole thing. Final thanks to St Michael’s Church for allowing us to use their facilities and I’m sure they are as delighted as us that by 4pm the whole area was left clean and tidy with no sign of litter or damage after the hoards of crowds had gone home.
Hopefully the media coverage will help put Mytholmroyd on the map and people will return on the 5th, 6th & 7th July Mytholmroyd Tour de France Gala. We will be there in force.
