Shining lights, thanks to our shops

.

.

Once again we are not exactly dazzled by the Christmas lights in Mytholmroyd but praise to the little shops with windows aglow - not least the ones at Bridge End and the one that outshines them all must surely be Headquarters.

Once again we are not exactly dazzled by the Christmas lights in Mytholmroyd but praise to the little shops with windows aglow - not least the ones at Bridge End and the one that outshines them all must surely be Headquarters.

Depicted here are the first five days of Christmas - five gold rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves and, of course, a partridge perched on the top of a glittering tree bearing pears - and, along with adjoining shops, little trees outside shimmer in the darkness.

Good to see that some shops have given time and effort to cheer us.

Joan Laprell,

Mytholmroyd.
