May I through your pages congratulate all at Riverside Junior School, Hebden Bridge, for coming out of special measures?
When the school was put in some 18 months ago, many of us disputed Ofsted’s decision, because we felt that they overlooked many of the school’s strengths.
However, I know that it has been a long and arduous process to make the school an even better institution and to meet Ofsted’s concerns.
As a former governor of the school, I’d like to thank all involved, wonderful head Val Eggleton and her amazing staff, the hard-working and dedicated governing body, the loving and supportive parents, and the artistic, creative, inquisitive, and kind children who make every day at the school a joy.
Coun Nader Fekri,
