Speaker at the March meeting of the Yorkshire Countrywomen’s Association Cragg Vale branch was Mr Ian Baxter with “A Tale Of Ten Cities”..

Ian told members that his interest in photography started 16 years ago - now his camera went everywhere with him, and he has learned the importance of light and shade.

Ian took his audience on a tour of cities he had visited, showing statues, famous landmark buildings and important roadways.

Accordingly, they watched a superb journey through places such as Coventry, Paris, Leeds, Prague, Edinburgh, Venice, St Petersburg, Munich, Budapest and the country of Vietnam.

He visited America’s Arlington Cemetery, and saw the eternal flame lit to remember the three members of the country’s political Kennedy family.

Muriel Morgan thanked Mr Baxter for a very interesting talk.
