Walkers Action is holding an open forum for all walkers and other interested people.
The session will aim to bring together what activities Walkers Action should concentrate on over the next couple of years.
Mo Ludlam, Walkers Action secretary, said “Walkers Action is anxious to get everyone’s ideas about what the group’s agenda should be over the next year or two.
“We want to know what problems walkers experience and how to encourage and improve walkers’ experience in the area”.
The session will be followed by the group’s AGM.
The forum is on Tuesday, September 23, from 7.30pm to 9pm at the White Lion, Bridge Gate, Hebden Bridge, upstairs function room.
More details about the forum are on the news page of the Walkers Action website at http://www.hbwalkersaction.org.uk
Following their successful launch of walks from the 901 bus this Spring, Walkers Action is planning to produce a series of walks between Haworth and Hebden Bridge, linked to the 500 bus, which runs through some spectaculat countryside.
Mo said: “We are very excited about this cross border project.
“It has been great to have support from Metro, Bradford and Calderdale Tourism and from the Town and Parish councils along the route.
“We hope to have the route guide published early in 2015.”
The group was formed a group of local people who love walking and wanted to encourage others to share their enjoyment, encouraging people to discover the South Pennines countryside.
