St Thomas’s Church Heptonstall hosts its annual pre-Christmas Fairtrade event over three days.

It begins on on Friday, November 14, from 7pm to 9pm, when mulled wine and mince pies will be available. The event then runs on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, from 11am till 5pm on both days.

A spokesman for the event organisers said: “This is a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping.

“There will be a large selection of cards, gifts and food, all fairly traded, and refreshments will be served throughout.”

Two choirs will sing music including Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor at a concert at St Thomas’s. The Halifax Chamber Choir and Leeds Guild of Singers play on Saturday, November 15 at 8pm. Tickets are £8/£6.
