Calderdale Business leaders will be meeting to discuss the future of trading following the announcement of the EU referendum.

The Business for Calderdale event entitled ‘The Final Countdown: Europe’ will take place at the Crossley Gallery, Dean Clough Mills, on Friday, March 18, between 4pm to 6pm.

Guest speakers will include John Furbisher, James Smith from A-Safe, James Ibbotson from Sidhil and Hilton and Wim Batist from BCA Leisure.

The Halifax Labour MP Holly Lynch and the Calder Valley Conservative MP Craig Whittaker will also give speeches at the event.

The purpose is for a discussion about the forthcoming European referendum and what the views, concerns, implications and thoughts are of businesses across Calderdale.

It is not a debate but rather a chance for the MPs to gather the thoughts of businesses in their constituencies.

The event is open to members with guests being invited for a fee of £10.

Prime Minister David Cameron announced on Saturday that a referendum on the UK’s membership will be held on Thursday, June 23.
