This is the monster who has been jailed for 22 years for abusing young girls.
The victims of former Calderdale bin man Gordon Tidswell had to wait nearly 30 years to see justice served.
And one of those victims - Tidswell’s niece by marriage Dawn Wilson - has waived her right to anonymity to urge other victims to go the police.
Speaking to the Halifax Courier, Miss Wilson, who used to live around the corner from Tidswell on Whitehall Road, Wyke, said: “I feel fantastic. Finally, I can close that chapter and move on with my life.
“He turned my family against me. All I have is my mum and my brother - they were the only people who believed me.
“It’s all about karma and I’m so happy about the outcome.
“If I can get other survivors to come forward I have done my bit. It’s all about getting justice and now I have got mine.”
The mother-of-two, who has since moved away from West Yorkshire, said she remembers being abused by Tidswell, who worked as a Calderdale Council refuse collector for 16 years before working as an ice cream man in the area, on three separate occasions.
