Boy, 9, left with serious injuries after being hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a nine-year old boy was left with serious injuries after a road traffic collision in Leeds.

The incident happened at 8.40am today (Wednesday) at the Chappletown Road junction with Savile Mount, when a silver Vauxhall Astra driving towards Leeds collided with the boy.

Sergeant Ann Drury of the Eastern Area Roads Policing Unit said:“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact police on 101.”
