Members of Calderdale Healthcare Walking Group took in the delights of the Calder Valley on their pre-Christmas ramble.
Led by Pauline Brook, the title of the walk was “Pauline and Derek’s Christmas Cracker walk” and the hikers met at Hebden Bridge and walked along the canal to Mytholmroyd where Christmas cake and mince pies were served at the coffee stop by Derek Brook.
From there the group went up to Old Chamber below Stoodley Pike and back down via Horsehold woods.
The weather was really mixed showers to start ,then fine and by the time the group got below Stoodley Pike snow showers.
On return the group had a meal at The Stubbing Wharf pub, Hebden Bridge, where Pauline Brook was presented with “The Golden Boot Award” from the Chair of the Group Mike Barnes.
The award is given to the member who has contributed most to the group over the past year and is voted upon by members.
