An actor and a writer on Emmerdale are are joining Hebden Radio, a Commercial Radio Station for Hebden Bridge.

Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle in the soap, and Paul Coates, who is a scriptwriter, start their new ‘Left of Leftfield’ show, broadcast twice monthly on Wednesday nights from 8pm to 9pm.

Dave Moses, Programme Controller, said: “We’re thrilled Mark and Paul are joining our team.

“They’ve both been friends for many years and that clearly shows in their broadcast.

“A mixture of humour, some excellent song choices and great listener interaction is what gives this show something extra special.”

Hebden Radio is currently an Internet Station broadcasting 24/7 since June 2016 but will be on FM in the local region from December 23 for 15 days.

The station will also be turning on the Christmas Lights inHebden Bridge, tomorrow (November 35) at 5pm in St George’s Square, and in Mytholmroyd, Saturday (November 26) at 4.40pm.
