POLICE have arrested a man and a woman in connection with three burglaries which took place last week.
A 30-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were released on bail pending further inquiries.
On Thursday, May 29, entry was gained to a property at Green Bank, Cragg Vale, at 2.17pm by an insecure front porch and an interior wooden door. The intruders were seen in a small red hatchback car with a number plate similar to P776 RRN.
The same afternoon, between 2.15-2.25pm, another burglary took place at Westfield Terrace, Mytholmroyd. The intruders purported to be from the water board and were seen to make off in a red Peugeot car.
On Friday, May 30, a property on Castle Lane, Todmorden, was broken into at about 11.55am. The burglars gained entry by smashing a window and reaching through to release the door lock. A woman kept the next door neighbour distracted while a man carried out the burglary.
Anybody with information about either incident should contact Calderdale CID on 01422 337085 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
