Tributes to driver at site of fatal accident

THE Hebden Bridge driver killed in a car crash in Halifax, has been named as Cristian Dempsey.
The 33-year-old was the only person in a Rover 25 that hit a lamp post on Burnley Road, Halifax, last Thursday.

The car was travelling towards King Cross when the accident happened at 8.05pm.

No one else was involved in the crash which closed the road in both directions near the junction with Green Lane for five hours.

Flowers and cards paying tribute to Mr Dempsey were placed at the scene.

An inquest on Mr Dempsey was opened and adjourned on Tuesday by coroner Mr Roger Whitaker.
