A FAMOUS local 60s band who played with Jimi Hendrix in their day is getting back together for a special gig tomorrow night (Friday).
The Jude Brown Band toured around Europe at their peak in the 60s and 70s and has since only ever got back into their flowery shirts and flares to perform at a family member's 60th birthday.
Despite this the psychedelic vibes will be heard once again at The Cross Inn, Towngate, Heptonstall, Hebden Bridge, November 27, from 9pm.
Unfortunately the band's lead guitarist Mike O'Brien, who was known as Obe, passed away suddenly last year just after speaking to his old band members about a reunion.
However the rest of the band, which is made up of three locals from Hebden Bridge and the rest from Halifax, decided the gig should go on and they will play in Obe's honour.
As well as old band members friends of Jude Brown will also be playing which led the manager of the inn, Owen O'Sullivan, to say its going to be a really good jam.
He said: "The band is absolutely fantastic, its really worth coming down."
The night will consist of a mixture of Soul and Rock N Roll sessions.
