A TEENAGER suffered leg burns after falling onto a camp fire at Calder Holmes Park, Hebden Bridge.
The 15-year-old was with a group of friends when the accident happened just after 9pm on Monday.

Fire crews from Halifax and Mytholmroyd attended.

The boy was given emergency treatment in the park before being taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital. After further treatment, he was allowed home.

Parkkeeper John Midgley said: "You get kids around here a lot but they don't cause trouble. It is a nice park."

Alison Cassidy, who lives nearby at Fairfield, is a regular park user.

She said: "A lot of people come here, especially at weekends, so this is very shocking.

"Of course you get kids down here as there are things for them to do, but you don't feel threatened.

"This sounds like a dreadful accident."
