A Luddenden Foot warehouse selling equestrian equipment has been burgled for fourth time in as many weeks.
Police are appealing for information to the latest burglary at an equestrian clearance warehouse in the Tentefields Industrial Park, Luddenden Foot, which happened over night on Wednesday last week when 35 Wintec, Bates and Colligate saddles, worth thousands of pounds were stolen.
PC Adam Shaw said this was the fourth burglary at the address in as many weeks and that the business was being targeted due to the nature of the stock being sold.
Warehouse owner Lorraine Meadowcroft said: “They obviously know what they want and are targeting us. The gang came in a van, smashed their way in and loaded the van up in less than two minutes.
“It’s a specialised business so it wouldn’t surprise me if such thefts are feeding a black market. I’ve heard it all gets shipped abroad.”
Anyone with any information about the burglaries or the property that was taken is asked to Halifax CID on 01422 337085 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
