Proposals to convert Melbourne Works into apartments

PLANS to convert a mill to more than 20 apartments have been submitted to Calderdale Council.
Seddon Homes has applied for planning permission to convert the existing Melbourne Works, on Melbourne Street, Hebden Bridge, into 24 apartments.

The developer is also seeking to demolish three brick built garages at the site and construct two semi-detached, three bedroom houses over the car park area.

Other applications received by the council between December 14 and 18 include the following:

Gaia wind turbine on an 18m mast, Higher Earnshaw Water Farm, Long Causeway, Blackshaw Head, Hebden Bridge, for Mr Redmond.

Balcony to side elevation (amendment), 1 Montrose Buildings, Lee Mill Road, Hebden Bridge, for Ms C Reeves.

Woodland management (including the removal of beech trees with a DBH of up to 10cm) (tree preservation order), Jerusalem Farm, Jerusalem Lane, Luddenden, for Calderdale Council's Countryside Service.

The 21 days for receipt of representations on these applications began on December 23.
