A by-election to fill the vacant seat in the West End Ward on Hebden Royd Town Council caused by the resignation of Stewart Brown will be on Thursday August 7.
The former Mayor of Hebden Royd was arrested in April and realsed on bail pending further investigations.

Mr Brown, a town councillor and former Calderdale councillor for 12 years, lived at Nutclough, Hebden Bridge, and was suspended from the Labour Party following his arrest.
