MUMS were encouraged to wear a baby sling at a special demonstration.
Claire Bush, 28, and Liz Robson, 29, both of Savile Park, Halifax, are in the White Rose group based in Hebden Bridge.

The women, who meet once a month, are trying to encourage more parents to wear baby slings. They distribute the weight of the baby evenly, making them easier to carry.

Claire said: "I have been through several types with my two children and I think it has made life so much easier."

The two women took along their children, Maisy, 17 months, and Finton, eight and a half months, to the demonstration at the YMCA, Crossley Street, Halifax.

They showed other mothers the different types of slings available as well as the benefits of wearing them.

Liz said: "I was introduced to the benefits of them through Claire and since starting I have never looked back."

For more information about the group contact Claire on 01422 355101.
