A POLICE public surgery and crime prevention stand proved with popular customers at the Spar supermarket in Crown Street, Hebden Bridge, last week.
Police Community Officers Katherine Briggs and Edward Webb updated the public on what local priorities the police had for the area with anti-social behaviour at the top of the list and gave out advise on crime prevention and future Police And Communities Together (PACT) meetings.

Sergeant Chris Norbury said: "The public agreed with the priority of tackling anti social behaviour, although more people were concerned about the lack of parking in and around the town centre.

"As this not in our remit we have now passed the concerns to Calderdale Council."
