AS part of Community Rail Weekend in the South Pennines, there is an opportunity to discover some of the history of Hebden Bridge on Sunday May 18.
Diana Monahan, a volunteer with the Friends of Hebden Bridge Station and a member of Hebden Bridge Local History Society, will be setting off from the Leeds-bound platform of Hebden Bridge Station at 11 am for an easy walk.

She describes it as "a lecture on legs, which should finish in time for lunch in the town centre, unless there are hoards of people all wanting to contribute their bit to the history."
