Series of free food courses continues

Incredible Edible Todmorden’s series of adult learning courses is in full swing, with many events lined up over the next few weeks.

On Monday, February 18, there will be a session showing how to make vegan pate dips and spreads for jacket potatoes, sandwich fillings and party food.

The session will be led by Hilary Wilson at 24 Park Road, Todmorden, from 1.30pm until 4pm.

The following day, Tuesday February 19, marmalade making will be the topic of choice.

Shirley Harris will lead the course at Frieldhurst Farm, Frieldhurst Road, Cornholme, from 10.30am until 1pm.

There will be a naan bread and curry night at FI’s Kitchen, 40 Halifax Road, Todmorden, on Thursday, February 21. Food inspirer Sally Darlington will lead the evening from 7-9pm.

Shirley Harris will show people the art of pickling preserves at Frieldhurst Farm, Frieldhurst Road, Cornholme, on Tuesday, February 26.

The course will run from 10.30am until 1pm.

Pies, pasties and pastries will be the subject of a session on Thursday, March 7.

Hilary Wilson will show how to make sweet and savoury vegan treats at 24 Park Road from 1.30pm until 4pm.

Make your own dough and pizza toppings at an Italian themed workshop with Sally Darlington at FI’s Kitchen, 40 Halifax Road, Todmorden, on Wednesday, March 13, from 11am until 2pm.

And finally, the series of courses concludes with a seasonal session making hot cross buns. It will take place at FI’s Kitchen on Thursday, March 28, led by Sally.

All the courses are free but must be booked in advance.
