Connor and Collier of Todmorden close in on Calder Valley's Lee Potter

By the 1990s, the upper valley boasted two amateur rugby league clubs playing in the Pennine League.

March 1993 saw them meet head-to-head in a derby match at Centre Vale Park, Todmorden.

Here Calder Valley’s second rower Lee Potter tries to fend off a challenge from two Todmorden stalwarts, Barry Connor and Billy Collier, determined to get to grips with their opponent.
