I AM in full support of a Sainsbury’s store in Todmorden.

It would give some serious competition to Morrison’s and also clear up a massive eyesore.

If Sainsbury’s appeal is not successful, I suggest somebody contact the demolition firm who did the job to come back and finish what they started and clean up the mess they left behind!

I am also in agreement with some other readers about a petition form in the paper.

Finally, may I mention Asda, who I believe have had planning permission for many months - why have they not started? Are they afrauid of Sainsbury’s?
