I don’t want to read him either
I WOULD like to endorse the view expressed by Viv and Dave Boardman with regard to the appropriateness of allowing Bernard Ingham to continue to contribute to your paper (letters, November 8).
I have always found his inflammatory ramblings to be poorly provocative and his response to advocates of greener approaches, particularly energy issues, insulting at a personal level to contributors and readers.
The recent disclosure revealed by the independent Hillsborough Report citing both his contempt and the responsibility he held towards the Liverpool supporters reinforces my low opinion of him as a person and a journalist; not someone who’s views I want to be reading on a regular basis in the local paper.
