An opportunity not to be missed?

I’VE just read your write up regarding the upcoming bonfire weekend.

It’s just a thought: if, as expected, there will be 10,000 people coming to this year’s event, then why can’t we use this to the town’s advantage?

Would it be possible for all, or as many of the shops as possible, to stay open late on that night to show that we have come back from this year’s floods?

It would be free advertising for the town and all the businesses that are open - surely this would be a great idea and a massive boost to the town’s economy?
