TWENTY-one month old Jimmy Hirst was one of winners at Luddenden Valley Playgroup's Easter bonnet parade.
The other winners were Anna Bell Gosling aged one, and Saphire Gosling aged six.

More than 25 children took part in the competition which was judged by the chairman of Luddenden and District Women's Institute Norma Riley.

The youngsters also took part in in a Easter egg hunt which was to have been held in Holmes Park, Luddenden Foot but was moved the Civic Centre, due to the bad weather.

More than 100 little Easter eggs were on offer and chairman of the playgroup Kay Lund revealed the children found them to tempting to keep until Easter day.

"They were eating them straight away. They simply could not wait."
