A MAN who was attacked in Cornholme on Wednesday night remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Damien Shepherd, aged 42, sustained serious head injuries during the attack in Burnley Road, Cornholme, Todmorden just before midnight on Wednesday, April 30. He was taken to Rochdale Infirmary before being transferred to the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Police said there has been a good response from members of the public following their appeal and they were still encouraging people to come forward with any information. Enquiries are ongoing.
They are keen to trace three white men who are in their late teens to early 20s. One of the men had blond hair and was last seen running in the direction of Todmorden.
