WALKERS enjoyed a hike on the hills and moors despite poor weather to ensure this year's Rotary Boundary Walk was a success.
This year there was a choice of walks for the annual event organised by the Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs of Todmorden.

Entrants could choose to walk the 22 miles of the former Todmorden Borough boundary or the Pike Hike, both of which started at Belleholme sports field. The hike followed the canal towpath through Todmorden to Eastwood before joining the last section of the Boundary Walk over Stoodley Pike and back to the venue.

There were 178 entrants for the Boundary Walk and 60 for the Pike Hike. The first person to complete the Boundary Walk was Stephen Cotterill from Stoke-on-Trent and the first Pike Hiker back was Edward Walker from Elland.

Norman Caddy, of Todmorden Rotary, said the event had raised over £2,000 and the main beneficiary will be the Forget-me-not-Trust.

The event was generously supported by Vale Upholstery and Friends of the Boundary Walk.
